Do you have an old entertainment center you don’t need? We did. Our living room was too small for this large piece of furniture. I didn’t want to get rid of it just yet. It’s solid wood with claw ball feet and very heavy. I knew there was something I could do to it without painting it or taking it apart.
My craft/storage room is full of paper crafts, files, office supplies and other items I need as the CEO of the house. The entertainment center is perfect for helping me contain all that clutter. Here is what I did:
I took my scrapbook organizer apart and used it in two pieces. All of our little office supply items are in the cabinet part, behind the glass door. On top I have the manuals and guides I use as CEO. You can also see the extra boxes of file jackets and such. I needed to make these highly visible for hubby.
The little open shelf is where a pull-out platform was. We kept the DVD player there. Now it’s home to a nice basket I found to hold envelopes.
It may not be the best thing around but I can tell you it has helped me straighten this room out. I’m not done yet.
